Position Title: Research Assistant: 10th Anniversary Newsletter Series
The Public is an activist design studio seeking to democratize the design process while creating a better world. We engage in a diversity of creative strategies to envision and practice this kind of world.
- Our graphic design work (everything from flyers to videos, t-shirts to websites) supports broader social movements while being as unique and inspiring as our clients.
- Our popular education resources and co-creative workshops create opportunities for folks to share skills and build capacity among themselves to create the just world they wish to see.
- Our studio itself is available to rent to folks who share our vision for a better world, and our window gallery always features work of local artists, designers, and activists.
The Public is built on over a decade of love and care that we continue to invest in offering experiences that are as relational and thoughtful as they are critical and groundbreaking. We are a team of activists, creatives, and friends, and for us, the personal is always political.
The Public is celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year and publishing a special series of twelve monthly e-newsletters that feature personal reflections with past staff and clients on the ways working with The Public has impacted them personally.
The Research Assistant will assist in transcribing the audio recorded interviews, draw out themes that emerge in the interview, selecting key quotes, and providing assistance with shaping the narrative and development of copy for the newsletters.
