Company Bio:

Opilio Labs Inc. is a startup in the fast-growing Internet of Things sector. Our first product, patented syndii®, alerts homeowners to power outages, temperature extremes and water leaks. We allow homeowners to avoid the hassle and expense of an insurance claim due to a preventable disaster while protecting their irreplaceable family keepsakes. We have developed the platform, manufactured beta units and are now ready to grow awareness to enable our commercial launch.

Job Description:

For this unpaid intern opportunity, Opilio Labs is seeking creative, curious, and motivated students who are interested in gaining experience in digital marketing and crowd-funding. The students will work closely with the Opilio founders to strategize, create, and execute communications. Examples of content to be created includes social media content, blog posts, value-added content, white papers, website content, crowd-funding design, and content, etc.


• Develop, execute and measure social media strategies, guidelines, best practices, promotional campaigns, and day-to-day activities;
• Conceptualize and lead the implementation of compelling content across various social platforms that engage and communicates effectively with our audience;
• Drive expansion of our email list;
• Create and manage blogger/PR outreach by identifying relevant blogs and engage in social conversations to provide reach for key launches, promotions and viral marketing efforts;
• Stay abreast of key industry trends, competitive insights, and emerging social media/marketing technologies;
• Writing content for blogs, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, web, and crowd-funding;
• Assist with development of marketing campaigns all aimed at maximizing awareness of our brand, and;
• Development of crowdfunding strategy and content

• High proficiency in oral and written communication;
• Have a positive attitude, maturity, as well as demonstrate professionalism and punctuality;
• Ability to strategize and look for different approaches to communication and media;
• Ability to learn new online applications (such as social media management platforms
like Hootsuite), and;
• Willing to experiment with new approaches to communication and media.
